Thank you for shopping with The Inkbound Bookshop. We pack every book order with care from our bookshop in Gort, County Galway.
Order Processing
In-stock book orders are normally prepared for dispatch within 1 to 3 business days. Business days do not include weekends or Irish public holidays.
During launches, special events and particularly busy periods, processing may take slightly longer. We will contact you if there is a significant delay affecting your order.
Book Shipping Destinations
Physical books stocked by The Inkbound Bookshop are currently available for delivery to:
- Republic of Ireland
- Northern Ireland
- Great Britain, where available
- Selected European destinations
The destinations available for a particular order are displayed during checkout. If no shipping method appears after you enter your complete address, we are currently unable to ship the items in your cart to that destination.
Ireland and Northern Ireland
Book orders are sent using An Post Standard Shipping. Delivery rates are calculated according to the combined product weight:

Zone 2 International Shipping
Zone 2 currently includes Great Britain and selected nearby European destinations. Available countries are confirmed at checkout.

Merchandise and Printify Orders
Some clothing, mugs, accessories and other merchandise are produced and fulfilled by Printify and its fulfilment partners. These items may be made and dispatched from a different location than our books.
Printify shipping rates and estimated delivery times are calculated separately at checkout. Availability depends on the product, fulfilment provider and destination.
Orders Containing Books and Merchandise
Books and merchandise may be dispatched separately because they are fulfilled from different locations. When this happens, Shopify calculates the applicable shipping charge for each package and shows the combined delivery cost at checkout.
You may receive separate dispatch confirmations and tracking information for different parts of the same order.
Tracking
Standard shipping does not always include full end-to-end tracking. If tracking is available for your shipment, the relevant details will be included in your dispatch confirmation email.
The absence of tracking updates does not necessarily mean that the parcel has stopped moving. International tracking availability varies by destination and postal service.
Customs, Import VAT and Duties
Orders sent within the European Union generally do not require customs clearance. Orders sent to destinations outside the European Union may be subject to customs declarations, import VAT, duties, processing charges or other local fees.
Unless charges are expressly collected during checkout, the customer is responsible for any customs charges, import taxes or handling fees imposed by the destination country or its delivery provider. These charges are not included in our shipping rates.
Customs processing can delay a shipment beyond the delivery estimate. The Inkbound Bookshop cannot control or guarantee customs-clearance times.
Delivery Estimates
Delivery estimates begin when an order is dispatched, not when the order is placed. They are provided as guidance and are not guaranteed.
Postal delays, severe weather, customs processing, local service disruption and peak seasonal demand may affect delivery times.
Incorrect or Incomplete Addresses
Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. Please contact us as quickly as possible if you notice an error.
We cannot guarantee that an address can be changed after an order has entered processing. Additional postage may be required to resend an order returned because of an incorrect, incomplete or inaccessible address.
Missing or Delayed Orders
Please allow the full estimated delivery period before contacting us about a delayed parcel. International orders may occasionally take longer due to customs or local postal delays.
If your order has not arrived within a reasonable period after the estimated delivery window, contact us with your order number and delivery address so we can investigate.
Damaged Orders
If an order arrives damaged, contact us as soon as possible. Please include your order number and clear photographs of the product, external packaging and shipping label. Keep all packaging until we have reviewed the issue.

Shipping charges and return eligibility are governed by our Refund Policy.
